EDTA (tetra sodium salt)



Sodium hydroxide (18%)




1. Using moderate agitation (800 rpm) provided by a variable speed mixing unit and an impeller suitable for general mixing and blending operations, disperse or screen the Carbopol® polymer into the DI water. Mix the slurry for approximately 15 min. or until the slurry is homogeneous. Heating the water to 40-50°C will increase the wetting and dispersability of Carbopol ® ETD polymers.

2. With slow mixing, add the two alcohol ethoxylates. Mix until homogeneous

3. Continue mixing and add the EDTA.

4. Continue agitating and add the sodium hydroxide until the pH is attained.

5. Add fragrance, as desired.

Note: Carbopol®* ETD 2623 Polymer provides shear thinning rheology and increases fabric contact time for increased ease of use and cleansing performance in this laundry pre-spotter formulation. In addition, Carbopol® ETD 2623 Polymer is an easy-to-disperse polymer which increases the ease of handling and processing.
